Punjab Declares Public Holiday on September 28 for Bhagat Singh's Birth Anniversary

The Punjab government has declared a public holiday on Monday, September 28 to mark the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.

All government offices, boards, corporations and schools will remain closed. The state pays tribute every year to the freedom fighter, who was born on September 28, 1907.

Functions are traditionally held at his native village Khatkar Kalan and in schools and colleges across Punjab.
