Badhalian is a village of Mukerian tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Mukerian, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Hazipur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031110, and it covers 140 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 823 people in Badhalian: 409 men and 414 women, living in 164 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 140 hectares, the population density works out to about 588 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1012 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 123, about 15 per cent of the village.
