Where is Liddar?

Liddar is a village in Mukerian tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Mukerian, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Hazipur community development block and is served by the Arthewal gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031241, and it covers 49 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 147 people in Liddar: 82 men and 65 women, living in 31 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household. Spread over its 49 hectares, the population density works out to about 300 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 793 women for every 1,000 men.
