Noshera Shimli is a village of Mukerian tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Mukerian, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Hazipur community development block and is served by the Noshera--Shimli gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031257, and it covers 356 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 624 people in Noshera Shimli: 300 men and 324 women, living in 136 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 356 hectares, the population density works out to about 175 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1080 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 78, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 101 people, about 16 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
