Singhpur is a village in Mukerian tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Mukerian, about 9 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Hazipur community development block and is served by the Singhpur223 gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031047, and it covers 76 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 866 people in Singhpur: 442 men and 424 women, living in 175 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 76 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,139 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 959 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 105, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 205 people, about 24 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 86.47 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 91.71 per cent and women at 81.07 per cent. The census recorded 251 workers, about 29 per cent of the village.
