Punjab told the High Court it has kept in abeyance its plan to discontinue the Rs 600-crore Amritsar BRTS. The court wants an affidavit on why it is being scrapped after about 10 years; next hearing is October 13.ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 600 ਕਰੋੜ ਦੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਬੀਆਰਟੀਐੱਸ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਹੈ। ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ ਲਗਭਗ 10 ਸਾਲ ਬਾਅਦ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਹਲਫ਼ਨਾਮਾ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਹੈ; ਅਗਲੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ 13 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੈ।
